Challenge Block of the Month!

It's been awhile since I have blogged, but I have been busy posting away on my Joyful Embellishments stitching group on Face Book.  It is never  too late to join, and here is the link to the group: Joyful Embellishments

We are going through all of the stitches that we did last year, all 250 of them!  Some of the members did their stitches on actual crazy quilt blocks and others did them in a Stitch Book that they made out of muslin or linen.  If you join the group, you can go through the photo albums and see the beautiful stitch books they made!

For those in the group that have already done all of the stitches, I decided to offer a Challenge block of the month.  Usually the block will consist of the original 250 stitches that I posted last year but once in awhile I will throw a new one in the mix!

Here are the pictures of the block for the month of February.  It is a sample block that I made for the class I will be teaching in Oregon next month.  They aren't as clear as I would like them to be, but the block is in Oregon so I can't retake them!

Here is a full shot of the block.

You don' have to do your block like mine, but maybe this will give you some inspiration to make a block of your own using some of the ideas here!

Talk to you later,
